Make Activity in FullScreen Mode in Android

In this example we'll see how we can make any activity in android in full screen mode.

So, first of all we have to create one own style in res/values/style.xml file.

Then, set the style key in activity that we have to make as full sreen.

So, now we have to go in manifest file and set android:theme="@style/full_screen_key" (style key ) in our activity.

You're free to set this key to any number of activity.

Let's see example below...

Example ::

activity_main.xml

<LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
    xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
    xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"
    android:layout_width="match_parent"
    android:layout_height="match_parent"
    android:background="#742"
    android:orientation="vertical"
    android:padding="10dp"
    tools:context=".MainActivity">

    <TextView
        android:textColor="#ff0"
        android:layout_width="wrap_content"
        android:layout_height="wrap_content"
        android:layout_gravity="center"
        android:layout_marginTop="36dp"
        android:padding="10dp"
        android:text="Full Screen Activity"
        android:textSize="25sp"
        android:textStyle="bold|italic" />

</LinearLayout>

MainActivity.java

package com.example.malik.blog;

import android.support.v7.app.AppCompatActivity;
import android.os.Bundle;
import android.view.Window;
import android.view.WindowManager;

public class MainActivity extends AppCompatActivity {

    @Override
    protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
        super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);

        requestWindowFeature(Window.FEATURE_NO_TITLE);
        this.getWindow().setFlags(WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_FULLSCREEN,WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_FULLSCREEN);

        setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);

    }

}

style.xml  (Inside values/style folder)

<resources>

</resources>

AndroidManifest.xml

            </intent-filter>
        </activity>
    </application>

</manifest>
